Taunao Vai was re-elected to the Institute Board in 2018. He is currently a consultant following a public service career with the Department of Commerce & Industry, PNG Investment Corporation and Small Business Development Corporation.

Mr. Vai has a Masters in Business Studies (Management) from Massey University, New Zealand. He is also a governance trainer for the Institute. He sits on the boards of Finance & Private Sector Staff Savings and Loans Society Limited and H&E Stevedores Limited and chairs the UCoPNG UR Poreporena Circuit Council.
